ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

As our Lead Internal Auditor, you won't just tick boxes—you'll be the catalyst for excellence across our entire organisation!

This is a dynamic and pivotal role focused on ensuring the strength and integrity of our Management Systems (HSSEQ), to be based in either Melbourne or Canberra. As a full-time position, there will be some interstate travel expected to conduct audits across our national operations.

The purpose of this role is to strategically plan, manage, and execute both our internal and external audit programmes. You will work collaboratively across all areas of the business and accounts, genuinely influencing best practice adoption with stakeholders.

Focusing on performing high-calibre audits that rigorously evaluate Kinetic IT’s business practices against international standards. You’ll be expertly identifying both non-conformances and opportunities for improvement, using objective evidence to drive sustainable compliance and continuous growth.

 KEEN TO GET INVOLVED? YOU’LL NEED TO BRING THE FOLLOWING:

  • You must be an Australian Citizen, holding a current Australian Government security clearance or be willing and eligible to obtain one.
  • You must have completed formal training in Guidelines for Auditing Management Systems (ISO 19011).
  • Hold certification as a Lead Auditor ISO 9001 (Quality).
  • Proven experience as a Lead Auditor, having personally completed and able to show evidence of conducting up to 10 full audits.
  • Proven ability to plan, execute, and manage a high-impact Internal Audit Program, including process development, strategic annual planning, and efficient management to closure of non-conformances.
  • Demonstrated success in managing External Audit engagements, including scheduling surveillance audits across the 4 HSSEQ standards and taking ownership of closing all audit findings.
  • To be the subject matter expert, providing clear, proactive advice on international standards to empower the business towards best practice adoption.
  • Strong communication skills for producing professional reports and confidently engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
