About The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in a BAU (Business as Usual) capacity, supporting a large enterprise customer in Perth CBD. This role will see you managing and maintaining Oracle database environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across critical business applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Oracle Database platforms, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.
• Provide operational support for Oracle Financials, E-Business Suite, and Middleware environments.
• Perform database tuning, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Work closely with application and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and support of Oracle-based applications.
• Monitor database performance and proactively address potential issues.
• Assist in the automation of database administration tasks to improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and industry best practices.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to stakeholders as required.

Skills and Experience:

• Strong experience as an Oracle DBA in an enterprise environment.
• Expertise in Oracle Database platforms, Oracle Financials, E-Business Suite, and Middleware.
• Proficiency in database performance tuning, patching, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
• Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards for database management.
• Ability to work independently in a BAU support environment while collaborating effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
