About The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in a BAU (Business as Usual) capacity, supporting a large enterprise customer in Perth CBD. This role will see you managing and maintaining Oracle database environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across critical business applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Oracle Database platforms, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.
- Provide operational support for Oracle Financials, E-Business Suite, and Middleware environments.
- Perform database tuning, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Develop and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Work closely with application and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and support of Oracle-based applications.
- Monitor database performance and proactively address potential issues.
- Assist in the automation of database administration tasks to improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and industry best practices.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to stakeholders as required.
Skills and Experience:
- Strong experience as an Oracle DBA in an enterprise environment.
- Expertise in Oracle Database platforms, Oracle Financials, E-Business Suite, and Middleware.
- Proficiency in database performance tuning, patching, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
- Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards for database management.
- Ability to work independently in a BAU support environment while collaborating effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
