ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking Cloud/Wintel Systems Engineers to join our Technical Enablement team within a new State Government customer account based in East Perth, WA.

In this role, you will implement and manage Microsoft-based server environments, virtualisation platforms, and hybrid/cloud infrastructure. Your expertise in Windows Server, VMware, Hyper-V, Azure and Citrix VDI will support critical IT operations in a complex, large-scale environment.

As part of this new customer engagement, we are focused on delivering end-to-end IT services across Technical Enablement, Cyber & Information Security, User Experience, and Service Engagement. You’ll work alongside industry experts to tackle complex challenges, drive innovation, and enhance system reliability and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Administer virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and optimise performance.
• Support hybrid cloud Microsoft solutions, including Azure AD, Intune, and M365 services.
• Implement ITIL-aligned processes such as Change, Release, and Configuration Management.
• Troubleshoot system issues, ensure compliance, and contribute to automation initiatives.

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Expertise in virtualisation technologies (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V).
• Hands-on experience with public cloud (Azure & AWS), hybrid cloud integration, and security.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and enterprise system administration best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills.
