About The Role
Kinetic IT is looking for an ICT Transition Lead to play a pivotal role in delivering safe, seamless and successful ICT service transitions for some of Australia’s most essential sectors. This role will cover transition activities as well as providing transition solutions to assist the new bid process. This role will involve travel to Kinetic IT sites nationally to assist with activities. 

Responsibilities will include:

• Manage end-to-end transition of new services using the Kinetic IT Transition Life Cycle.
• Ensure all services are onboarded with strong operational readiness and minimal disruption.
• Work with a broad customer base across government, public safety, defence, health, transport and other critical environments.
• Contribute to business growth as the Solution Transition Lead, shaping transition strategies for proposals and tender responses.
• Lead or support major transformation initiatives for existing customers requiring strong transition discipline.
• Influence transition outcomes at scale, collaborate with high-impact stakeholders, and drive excellence in service delivery across the nation.

Role snapshot:

Primary Responsibilities – Transition Delivery
• Lead end-to-end ICT service transitions, ensuring operational readiness and minimal disruption.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute cutovers, go-lives, and early-life support across multiple technical streams.
• Maintain governance, manage risks/issues, and communicate progress to stakeholders.

Secondary Responsibilities – New Business & Solutioning
• Shape transition strategies and delivery approaches for proposals and tenders.
• Ensure solutions are deliverable, commercially sound, and aligned with the Transition Life Cycle.
• Collaborate with Solution Leads, Commercial, and Service Delivery teams.

Tertiary Responsibilities – Existing Customer Programs
• Lead or support transformation programs, applying transition methodology to stabilise or modernise services.
• Provide guidance on service readiness and operational alignment.
• Mentor project and transition teams to strengthen organisational capability.

What you’ll bring to the table:
• Proven track record working on large ICT transitions
• Experience working on new bids and tenders providing a transition lens
• Program management experience including budgeting and financials
• Ability to travel extensively within Australia for transition activities
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and client stakeholders through ambiguity, fostering collaboration and achieving alignment in challenging delivery environments.
• Skilled in contract mobilisation, governance establishment, stakeholder engagement, and program assurance.
• Strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of delivering high-quality outcomes within fixed-cost and schedule-constrained programs.
• NV1 Clearance or ability to obtain clearance
• Prince2 or PMI certified
• ITIL highly desirable
