About The Role
Kinetic IT is looking for a SQL DBA as part of National Services predominately working for a high profile customer in East Perth. This role will cover both infrastructures and applications and covers general SQL duties. This role will also involve a on-call week on week off.
• Manage, support and optimise Microsoft SQL Server platforms within a managed services environment
• Provide BAU DBA support including monitoring, incident response, root cause analysis and issue resolution
• Design, implement and support high availability and disaster recovery solutions
• Perform performance tuning and optimisation
• Manage backup, restore and disaster recovery processes, including regular testing and documentation
• Implement and maintain database security controls
• Service Improvement: Contribute towards automation & other improvement activities
• Security & Compliance: Access control, encryption, vulnerability management and audit alignment.
• Assist with automation solutions to reduce manual effort and improve reliability
• Contribute to continuous improvement of database standards, tooling and operational processes
• Demonstrated experience supporting high availability and mission critical database environments
• Experience working with DevOps pipelines
• Solid troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in performance and stability issues
• Understanding of security, compliance and audit requirements in enterprise environments
• Ability to communicate clearly with technical teams and stakeholders
• Exposure to additional database platforms such as Oracle or cloud environments is advantageous

• Proven track record as a Senior SQL DBA
• Experience across infrastructure and applications
• Any exposure to DevOps Pipelines
• Any automation exposure
• Ability to communicate effectively within a customer environment
• Any exposure to Oracle Databases would be advantageous
