We’re looking for an experienced Account Director to take ownership of a high-profile state government account in Melbourne. Based in the CBD, with one day a week from home, this role offers real visibility across a primary enterprise customer environment.

You’ll be the senior customer partner across the enterprise account, shaping the executive stakeholder relationships, service outcomes, commercial performance and future growth opportunities beyond day-to-day delivery.

Working closely with the customer and internal delivery leaders, you’ll oversee services for Technical Enablement, Service Management, Service Centre, Security Management and Project Services, while managing commitments and ensuring the long-term focus and ongoing partnership with Kinetic IT remains undeniable.

Responsibilities will also include:

  • Oversee contracted services alongside commercial commitments, budget performance and customer outcomes.
  • Navigate complex senior-level conversations, commercial discussions and escalations with confidence and clarity.
  • Identify account growth opportunities across project and professional services, while working through government approval pathways and commercial processes.
  • Guide the account service delivery leaders, supporting effective decision-making and accountability.
  • Foster high performing teams and strong collaboration across customer and internal stakeholder groups.

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Current Australian Citizenship, with current Government Clearance (or ability to obtain through onboarding)
  • Experience managing complex enterprise or government customer accounts within MSP, outsourcing or enterprise IT services environments.
  • Strong commercial and contract acumen, including financial performance, governance, customer outcome management
  • Ability to identify new opportunities across project, professional services or broader account expansion.
  • Credibility and confidence with senior stakeholders, with the ability to build trust, influence at executive and C-suite level, and manage complex commercial discussions and escalations professionally.
  • People leadership experience, including guiding service leaders, enabling accountability and developing high performing teams.
  • A customer focused approach, balanced with commercial discipline and the ability to influence outcomes in complex environments.
