As a Senior IAM Engineer, you will lead the evolution and optimisation of our Ping Identity and Microsoft Entra ID platforms, delivering secure, scalable and automated identity solutions across a complex enterprise environment. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will partner closely with customer stakeholders to uplift IAM capability and drive best-practice outcomes across authentication, access and identity governance.

You will take ownership of key platform improvement initiatives, champion automation, and strengthen integration across the broader IAM ecosystem. While Ping Identity is the primary focus, this role will also contribute to Privileged Access Management and Identity Governance platforms, providing variety, depth and end-to-end IAM exposure.

This is a hybrid opportunity open to candidates located in Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth. As the service matures, the role will move to a 24/7 rotational on-call support model.

Responsibilities will Include:

  • Leading, operating and optimising the Ping Identity platform in an enterprise environment
  • Designing and supporting identity services across PingFederate, PingAccess, PingID and PingDirectory
  • Managing and integrating Microsoft Entra ID, including conditional access, identity lifecycle and hybrid identity scenarios
  • Contributing to CyberArk PAM and/or Saviynt/SailPoint IGA platforms, including onboarding, enhancement and operational support
  • Supporting and maintaining integrations with upstream and downstream systems such as HR platforms and enterprise applications
  • Monitoring and continuously improving IAM platforms supporting large-scale identity populations (40K+ identities)
  • Embedding strong security controls aligned to least privilege, zero trust and identity-first security principles
  • Supporting incident response, technical change, and continuous service improvement initiatives
  • Acting as a trusted technical advisor to stakeholders across security, infrastructure and business teams

What you Will Bring to the Table:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Ping Identity in a production enterprise environment (essential)
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Azure AD and hybrid identity architectures
  • Hands-on exposure to CyberArk PAM and/or Saviynt or SailPoint IGA platforms
  • Solid understanding of authentication, federation, MFA, access governance and identity lifecycle management
  • Scripting and automation capability using PowerShell, Python or similar tooling
  • Experience integrating IAM platforms with HR systems and enterprise applications
  • Working knowledge of ITIL and change management practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills, stakeholder engagement capability and a proactive, improvement-focused mindset
  • Willingness to participate in a rotational on-call support roster

Highly Regarded:

  • Certifications or formal training in Ping Identity, Microsoft Entra ID, CyberArk, Saviynt or SailPoint
  • Experience working in large, regulated or complex enterprise environments
